What a year Cynthia Erivo has had! She recently bagged an Oscar nomination for her groundbreaking portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked - now the highest-grossing musical of all time - and was just announced as Jesus in a new production of Jesus Christ Superstar this summer. The Tony winner, who earned the award for her role as Celie in The Color Purple, is now taking on a new venture - host of the 78th Annual Tony Awards!
When Will The Tonys Air?
The Tonys will be held on Sunday, June 8, at Radio City Music Hall. Complete details about the 2025 Tony Awards will be announced closer to the ceremony, with nominations set to be revealed on May 1.
The awards will air on CBS from 8 PM to 11 PM ET / 5 PM to 8 PM PT and will stream live and on-demand for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers. On-demand viewing will be available starting June 9.
