In an increasingly 'woke' world where boundaries are ever-shifting, it can be difficult to construct informed opinions without offending, leaving important facts out or shaping them with personal experiences. Enter The Guilty Feminist, the supportive forum where feminists can discuss and dissect the big issues of today whilst acknowledging their hypocrisies, fears and humanness. Don't miss the popular podcast when it hits the road on an extensive UK tour in 2020.
Created by London-based comedian and feminist writer Deborah Frances-White and body-positive Danish comedian Sofie Hagen in 2015, The Guilty Feminist was born when the two came together to share the double standards that stood in the way of a seemingly unattainable and perfect kind of feminism. When Hagen left a year later, France-White forged on, inviting a range of special guests to co-host with her. Each episode begins with the phrase 'I'm a feminist but...' followed by the episode's contributors admitting they've done something the ideal feminist decidedly wouldn't, thereby breaking down barriers and opening candid discourse.
