A Meeting Of Gods

Da duh... Da duh... Da duh... One of the biggest things you've ever heard is coming, but it's not a great white shark, it's the music of John Williams and Hans Zimmer! If you've watched any big film in the last few decades, you'll have heard their work. The two iconic composers are set to be celebrated this year by the London Concert Orchestra and conductor Anthony Inglis, who will perform music from movies including Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Batman, Pirates of the Caribbean, and more.

John Williams, winner of twenty-six Grammy Awards and five Oscars, is responsible for some of the most well-known themes in modern times. He is the mind behind movie soundtracks including Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, and of course Star Wars. He is famed for his frequent collaborations with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas.

Hans Zimmer, also a multi-award winner, has been named among the top 100 Living Geniuses by the Daily Telegraph. His work includes The Lion King, The Dark Knight, Dune, and Pirates of the Caribbean. In a slight deviation from film epics, Zimmer started out playing in new wave bands, in particular the Buggles, singers of Video Killed the Radio Star.
